Our core workshop programme for DPhil Students is suitable for those interested in academic careers, non academic careers or still considering both. Come to all in sequence or pick and choose the best dates for you.
1) Career Planning for DPhil Students
Intensive workshop which focuses on enabling you to clarify your career ideas through a mix of individual and informal small group exercises.

Begin to identify what networking is, why it is important and how you can develop their own professional networks and use them effectively.

3) CVs and Cover letters for DPhil students
Focus on job search techniques as well as how to produce effective CVs and cover letters.

4) Interview Skills for DPhil students
Focus on understanding interview processes, effective preparation for interviews and tackling difficult interview questions.

Careers in Finance for Researchers
Former researchers now working in various roles for various banks, hedge funds and investment management firms, will speak about their transition from academia to finance, followed by questions and answers and informal networking over drinks.

MBTI workshop for Researchers
This workshop will give you an insight into your own personality using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. This framework can help you to gain a better understanding of your natural preferences which can help you to identify the types of work and working environments that you may enjoy.
